Hi adrian
I was wondering which meta models you have expressed in FAME? we have FAMIX30. Now did you give a try to model EMOF? Now do you think that it would be possible to redo the import of EMOF sara and pierrick did but using FAME?
Of course we would have the same limits with multiple inheritance.

In principle, it could be done and it would be cool to see it done. It is sad to see their code rot. However it would require more glue code than before, since the gap between FM3 and EMF is larger than between Meta's EMOF and EMF. With Meta, 80% of EMF was already there, with Fame its about 20%. There are two approaches to bridge this gap, either you re-implement the missing 80% (as they did back then with Meta) or you define a (meta)metamodel transformation from FM3 to EMF and back. I donnu which is the better choice...

The problem is that there is a lot of crap in EMF we do not want :) I will check what I can do with their code. Stef
