Hi Michael,

The ready-to-use distribution works fine on Mac and Windows. I do not have a Ubuntu available so I cannot test it. Still I do not see why it would not work, unless something is wrong with the virtual machine or with your system.

Indeed, due to some changes in VW 7.6 the parcel installer does not work anymore. So, I retired the page completely.

If you want to download Moose, you would have to follow the instructions from: http://moose.unibe.ch/download

I just tried to install moose and it seems as if I'm unable to do it properly. As I haven't found anything online, I wanted to ask you wether you had the same problems as well:

If I use the ready-to-use distribution, I can install it under Ubuntu 8.04 and Windows XP, but when I try to start it, I just get a window without any content and the title "exception"

If i try to use the parcel version, after some loading and installing it aborts with a error-message (something like "there was an error." not very helpful)

Do you have any clues what my problems could be? I just installed the latest VM with the link given on the moose-page.
