Alex please pay attention that your end-users should not be impacted by
the different libraries you will be using
For example I doubt that synectique want to impose to its clients to
install SDL2.
So this would kill Roassal for us.

This is really a pity.
This problem is so important, that we may directly output a roassal
visualization in a separate window, bypassing Athens and directly
using Cairo on SDL.
