CALL OF PARTICIPATION
Conference of the Swiss Group for Object-Oriented Systems and Environments (CHOOSE)
Monday December 18, 2006 — Full day Allegro Grand Casino Kursaal Bern Bern
On-line registration and a preliminary program for this event are now available on the CHOOSE web site: http://www.choose.s-i.ch/events.html
Abstract -------------------------------------- Software quality is a major challenge for the kinds of software systems that are developed these days. Modern software systems are increasingly large, complex, heterogeneous and open. Both product and process quality attributes have a major impact on development and release cycles.
This CHOOSE Forum offers a series of presentations from experts that come from academia and industry and share their insights into software quality assessment. Newest technologies together with lessons learned cover aspects in products and processes. This forum addresses questions such as:
.) What are effective means for quality assessment? .) What is the state-of-the-art and the state-of-the-practice in quality engineering? .) What is the impact of software architecture on quality attributes? .) How can Reengineering contribute to quality assessment?
The day will conclude with a discussion session in which paths should be sketched where to go from here for better quality engineering.
The day also includes the CHOOSE General Assembly, including reports from the President and the Treasurer, and elections for the CHOOSE Executive Board.
