In fact what would be cool is the following (because having the legend inside the view is not really good.
In fact the system should raise a warning with the legend information and the host environment should decide what to do. By default the legend could be added below the visualization.

Currently, the legend is on demand. You have a small “?” icon on the top left of the window. The tool tip of this icon is the legend.

I think that designing a protocol to provide extra information would be nice.

Yes, I agree with you. I think that a visualization has to be contextualized. This is something that is missing.
