MOLineShape defines a method isAliased. Apparently I wrote this method, but I do not remember what it is useful for. What is an aliased edge? I guess this comes from VW.

It's not an aliased edge, it's an aliased line which should stand for antialiased line :).
This method definitely does not come from VW. At the very beginning of the Pharo version, there was support for antialiasing, although only optional due to performance problems. Anyway, now it does not work anymore.
