Sorry, my email did not make the point. Consider the following two examples:
In my naive view this behavior looks OK. First example
shows the last 5 colors in the progression, second example shows the first 5. I dont know
how the color normalizer is expected to be used though ...

I would actually expect the same node colors.
Apparently, the colors given by the normalizer are focused on 0. Is this what you would
expect?
