Isnt the FormsBuilder exactly supposed to do that? Because fixing node position with scatterplotlayout feels like a hack to me.
I'm confused Do you mean that the new scatterplot interface looks a hack?
So yes we have to reimplement package blueprint but it is also an occasion to cleanup/rewrite the code.
But this is a question of time. Give me infinite amount of time and this is not a problem

Hi Stef,
But, there is a MOScatterplotLayout. It's just that Alex decided to implement the layout differently by placing the x: and y: computation directly in the layout instead of allowing each node to define its position.
You can see examples of the two APIs at MOLayoutTest>>testScatterplotLayout and MOLayoutTest>>obsoleteTestScatterplot.
I actually think the current implementation is not a very good idea because you might have different kinds of nodes that should be placed based on different considerations.
In any case, unfortunately the current Mondrian is not fully compatible with the VW one, and there is no particular process to make it so.

Hi
we started to port package blueprint to pharo and apparently there is no ScatterPlotLayout in Mondrian in Pharo Is there a reason? What is the interface conformance between VW and pharo Mondrian?
