Hi Adrian,
Actually, it's not really Ok.
Like Toon pointed out I brought some arguments in the discussion while
you just brought in your preference.
Even if there were no arguments, individual styles is Ok for
individuals, but as a community we should strive for cohesion
especially when we are talking about a common space. Of course, there
are moments when we need to be made aware of new solutions, but this
is hardly such a case.
So, that is why I would kindly ask you to just accept this one like it
is.

The place on the front page is a gift in the form of a shortcut, and
like any gift it should not be abused. For example, if you add more
text in there then this text will compete with the other text from
the
main page and that leads to confusion.
