because these are not the edges that you pass.

would be something in the right direction.
I suggest an even better approach:
buildEdgesFromACollectionWithEntities:
usingATransformationBlockAppliedOnEachToGetTheOrigin:
andUsingATransformationBlockAppliedOnEachToGetTheTarget:
