Alexandre,
Sure, I'm implementing pie charts and histograms for Dictionary also. Let me know what next steps might be for properly finishing the existing histogram implementation...

Hi Brennan,
The implementation of the histogram was never properly finished.
It would be fantastic to build a new implementation. It should not be that hard actually.
We could have discussion if you wish to help :-)
Cheers,
Alexandre

Hello Moosers,
This is a first for me: I wanted to extend the inspector in a new way and I
was able to work out how to do that myself from reading the code :). So I
am posting not a question but a tip!
If you want to add a Search button to one specific tabbed view in the
inspector (as opposed to above on the object as a whole) then you can do it
like this:
composite list "etc"
addAction: someObject gtInspectorActionSpot;
...
and then you will get a little Search button inside this inspector view
that opens an appropriately-sized Spotter on someObject.
I was surprised not to find a 'GTSpotter openOn: someObject' convenience
method. Should there be one? There is 'on:' but that leaves you to work out
how to open the spotter window with an appropriate size.
Cheers!

Hi all -- I'm not sure if I missed it, but does Moose explicitly model the
<<creates>> relationship of UML between two classes, e.g.,
Based on
http://themoosebook.org/book/index.html#h1thefamixfamilyofmeta-models I
found Entity -> SourcedEntity -> Association -> {Access, Invocation,
Inheritance, Reference}. In Moose, I can see outgoingInvocations on methods
of a class contain "new X" for all the X that a class creates, but I
wondered if there's a more efficient way.
Cheers!
Is there an easy way to make a GLM table column right-justified?
I have some numeric columns and I think they would be easier to read if
right-justified.
I am also still looking for a way to use a fixed-width font for various
glamorous components like lists, tables, and text. This would help me to
present semi-structured data that doesn't *quite* fit into uniform columns
in a readable way. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks!

Hoi!
Suppose that my GTInspector extension method fails for some interesting
reason. How should I present an error message to the user?
I'm am especially thinking of cases where I am spawning a Unix command
behind the scenes and I want to show the (possibly long) output of the
command to the user. Could happen either in an inspector extension method
or also in a "Go" action of the inspector.
Tips would be much appreciated :).
Hi,
The 'histogram' method on SequenceableCollection added by Roassal2 fails due to xScale/yScale not being implemented on RTHistogramSet.
I added implementations of both as:
^ RTLinearTransformation instance.
to RTHistogramSet which at least gets a histogram working. I'm not sure what the proper fix actually is. I thought maybe adding this implementation on RTAbstractDataset would be the right thing to do...
Thanks,
Brennan
Hello,
Is there a way to set a default selection to a list presentation? so that
when I open the browser, the morphic list has already a value selected.
I tried that:
|tmpBrowser|
tmpBrowser := GLMTabulator new.
tmpBrowser row: #list.
tmpBrowser transmit to: #list; andShow: [:a |
a list
display: [:input | input];
selection: #a;
yourself
].
tmpBrowser openOn: #( b c d v a d f r).
but the list still open with nothing selected
Hi guys
We started to have a look at the bug entries of Moose on github.
We will start to migrate Moose to github. We will have to think how to manage this.
Projects
Subprojects
Baseline migration
I would like to enforce the following:
- the feature todos should not be managed in the bug tracker. Trello is good for this.
- Now todo related to current situation: such as remove empty class, split package should at least the entry should be tagged with todo.
- close any bug entry that does not have a description how to reproduce it.

Hi
I added a pane to gt so that when I inspect a model is get a special visualisation for packages.
It works well.
Now I would like to do the same for the Moose Panel (I thought it was but it does not).
I found the mooseFinder extensions on Object and I added one
mooseNameMetaIn: composite
<moosePresentationOrder: 1000>
(self mooseInterestingEntity packageViewIn: composite)
Now how can I control that it should only be displayed on FAMIXPackage and FAMIXPackageGroup?
I saw that there are when clauses too.

Hi guys
I’m trying to find my way in the GLMPresentation methods and I’m super sad…. Not a single comments
Not a single.
This is code done for a group of people knowing it not to be consume by others.
So I have to guess what act: is actually doing and more.
Method comments are not optional.

Hi!
I would like to parse some visual works source code to load it in Moose
in Pharo.
Does someone has such a MSE parser and the associated Moose model to
import it?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Vincent
Hello everyone!
Today with Anne we changed a little moose query to make it possible to
query specialized associations.
What I mean by that is: If you created a FAMIXSpecializedInvocation
and stored it in
FAMIXBehaviouralEntity>>#incomingInvocations/#outgoingInvocations,
MooseQuery was not able to query it because is checked only
FAMIXInvocations.
Now it is possible.
This will not change anything for most meta-models since only a few
use specialized associations. I updated the documentation present at
moosequery.ferlicot.fr and I added a test in Moose.
Have a nice day!

Hi,
Here is an update of the work on Bloc, Brick and GT. As always, please do let us know what you think.
Bloc:
- Improved the deletion in the text editor and covered the scenarios with examples
- Worked on the text selection. Still work needed for selection to be production ready:
https://twitter.com/feenkcom/status/969183393547259905
- Balanced rope structure for even better performance of the editor. Overall, the performance of the text editor improved 2x.
https://twitter.com/feenkcom/status/971009488789516288
- Selectable curves:
https://twitter.com/feenkcom/status/967690664589910016
Brick:
- Resizer overlay. The tweet below also shows how we can now easily script dragging behavior in examples:
https://twitter.com/feenkcom/status/971990195011690496
GToolkit:
- Diagrammer is a new engine for drawing diagrams based on Bloc. This is the first version, and we will continue working on it in the following weeks, so stay tuned for more news. This is also one of the first Bloc applications:
https://twitter.com/feenkcom/status/972243179599794180
- Andrei put together a beautiful description of a scenario in which an application is molded interactively in the Playground & Inspector. The subject is face recognition, and the resulting code is both functional and explainable. This is intended as a tutorial material that shows what moldable development means and how it changes the way we program:

"To utilize feedback, you first have to acquire it."
Hi,
A while ago, I put together an initial version of a Moose Playground.
I noticed since a while a couple of things:
- I often need the inspector, and not only Moose Finder.
- I start from different places: sometimes a Moose model, sometimes a file, or sometimes a script.
So, the idea of the new arrangement is to offer a single entry point to multiple workflows. To this end, right now we have a playground that has three tabs:
- a regular one for a Pharo script:
- a list of models and a way to import like those from the Moose Panel
- the current directory for quick entry into the file system
I have been using it since a while and it seems to work quite well. Please let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Doru

Hi
I would like to get the github account around Moose the place to host the code for the external importers.
Nicolas can you publish your exporters?
- C++/C
- Fortan
- Java
?
It would be great to have the
SAP2Moose
C#
And more as it comes.
Yesterday we started to look at what should be done to migrate moose (pharo code) to github.
The first step should be publish dependent project on github.
Pavel I will move roelTyper since I cleaned it on Smalltalkhub recently.

"Problem solving efficiency grows with the abstractness level of problem understanding."
Dear Moosers,
I am trying to use Moose 6.1 (by the way, it is beautiful !)
I declared this method that should make visible all RMQLogEntity in the
MoosePanel :
MooseModel>>allRMQLogEntityGroups
<navigation: 'All RMQ Log groups'>
^self allWithType: RMQLogEntity
The item "all rmqlogentity" is available in the MoosePanel, but when I
click on it, it generate an error (available attached).
I probably forget to declare something, but I do not remember which one.
Could you help me ?
Cheers,
Jannik
