The elements inside a part are always displayed in the order of the
colors. So, if there are red elements, they will always be displayed

The parts are arranged based on the seriation algorhitm. This can be
found in the Clustering package.
Regarding the license, you can do all the BSD code allows you to,
which is basically everything, with the special remark that the
original license text should be preserved.
