nice. the only thing I'd fix up is the display of the date (currently
the year is 2076..). BTW, I recently had a Master student (Marco Primi
is his name) implement a small seminar work called "SVN_Crawler" (see
http://svncrawler.sourceforge.net/)
. It's a command-line tool that also produces code-swarms, given an
SVN url. The lesson learned from this small work was that codeswarms
are useless when projects are short-lived or small. Mailing lists are
a very good target, congrats on the insight! Another hint, even tough
not very scientific: adding some music boosts the experience.

Hi all,
I'm developing a tool to mine mailing lists in Moose (called Maispion)
In this context, i'm playing with code_swarm[1]. It is a visualization
tool that shows the CVS commits history of a project.
Here's a *preliminary* video of the Moose mailing list i get from it
(tweaked to display emails instead of commits):

I have some ideas to improve it but would like to hear from you if you
have any suggestions to make this visualization cooler
(or, maybe, even useful :)
Cheers,
Francois
