Interesting. But, I think it should return itself because this is what you are working with.
What you want is just an extension to GTInspector. You have it now in the latest GT-Inspector.
But, you should give it a try to extend the inspector for your own needs :). For example, let's play with what would be needed for debugging a view. What do you say?
