(repost to the correct mailing lists) Pharo workflow is best seen in action. However, I noticed that we do not have much support for demoing what we do. For example, if you do not record with sound, you want to add notes. I saw several videos with notes being added to the workspace. This looks clumsy. So, I gave it a short try, and built a little goodie that lets you simply type notes in the middle of the screen the audience in big fonts. Things I'm missing in the Glamorous Debugger

Ok here are the things I used to have but am missin in the Glamourous debugger - Inspection of values (yes they are listed in the lower area) but there can be quite a few Variables in which I may or may not be interested. - there is simply no workspace available in the debugger. So just issuing a few commands simply does not do it. - I personally find the stepping symbols to small. They are not reall bad but kind of "strange" Regards Friedrich

SmaCC status?

I was looking at SmaCC and noticed the latest version on Dolphin and VW seems to support GLR parsing. What would be needed to make that work on Pharo (3/Moose5)? What practical consequences might I expect if we replace a PetitParser based parser by a SmaCC one? Stephan

Migrating pier experiences

Diego and I are looking at migrating the moose site to a newer pier. We use the PierCodeExporter for that. The moose site is a pretty old pier (Pier1 on Pharo 1.0rc1 10492). It doesn’t have grease loaded. The exporter doesn’t use a lot of grease functionality. We could have tried loading Grease, but decided to just copy paste the functionality needed. http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Pier/Pier3Addons/main/Pier-Exporter1-DiegoLont.1… Then the compilation fails because there are too many news entries, resulting in a method that is too large to compile. [Roassal]Text on edges ?

Hello, I use Roassal to visualize a FAST AST as a kind of UML diagram. Each node on Roassal is a node of the AST and the edges shows the parent link. That's work fine and it's very easy to do it ! Thanks ! But I would like to add some text on the edges to know what are the instance variables containing the children nodes. I saw the examples and there's not a such functionality.
