Hi!
Doru, I have see you’ve just merged moveBehind:. Up to now, I have always used pushFront: and pushBack:
What is the vocabulary we should use? I have no problem changing the code I have. I am just looking for the best vocabulary.
Also, I have recently added some methods in TRConstraint, such as alignFromLeft:, alignFromRight:, use:alignFromBottom:, setAllToMaxWidth:
I am not so sure about the name of these methods. Any better suggestion?
Cheers,
Alexandre

Hi!
Consider the following:
view := RTView new.
view add: (RTBox new size: 50) element.
view on: TRKeyDown do: [ :evt |
evt keyCombination = $j command ifTrue: [ RTZoomInMove on: view ].
evt keyCombination = $k command ifTrue: [ RTZoomOutMove on: view ] ].
view
Apparently, there is no way, the keydown event are emitted in GTInpsector? I have to open the view for this :-(
Can this be fixed?

Hi,
For an experiment, I would like to analyze some packages of Pharo 4.0 (Morph and Polymorph). Of course, I would like to do it with Moose ;o) But, Moose image is currently running on top of Pharo 3.0. So I would like to know how I can do mse models of Pharo 4.0 (importing Fame, Famix and Smalltalk importer into Pharo 4.0 would be enough?) Has someone already tried to load Moose in Pharo4.0?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Anne
Hi,
I'll remove GLMRubricSmalltalkCodePresentation.
It has no users in the image and now there are GLMPharoMethodPresentation
and GLMPharoPlaygroundPresentation.

Hi,
We need a simple way to add the Moose menu to any Roassal element or edge.
We either
- add RTInteractionBuilder>>menu: or,
- add Object>>roassalMenuFor: aBuilder
What do you think?

"Every thing has its own flow"
Hi,
As you might has seen, GT (inspector+playground for now) is now integrated
in Pharo 4. This means that the target we set one year ago of building a
Moose-based IDE is becoming a reality.
I think this is a great milestone. With these tools the "market" for
Roassal visualizations or other analyses opens up widely and the philosophy
of Moose becomes more pervasive.
This is just the beginning of the story. The only problem is that in order
to fix issues that might occur in Pharo 4 we might impact Moose as it still
relies on Pharo 3. In order to fix this, we have to release Moose 5.0.
That is why I am asking here for help. The greatest problems are the
Roassal visualizations. It would be ideal to release in 2 weeks.
Cheers,
Doru

Hi,
sorry if this is a known thing, but I’ve just notices this and it made my day.
So in GTInspector you can browse filesystem, but when you select a fuel file, you can press a "plus” button in top right corner, and it materialises the object. Amazing.
Uko
Since you are working on a new code browser. Please please please, it would be fantastic to see the definition of the setUp method when I create a new test method.

Hi all,
Recently, there have been changes in PetitParser related to support for
island grammar and parsing context which requires some modifications in the
tools using PetitParser. Not all tools can be adapted immediately to use
the new version. Hence, I have created a new version of PetitParser that
loads the packages prior to these changes for backward compatibility.
Name: ConfigurationOfPetitParser-usmanbhatti.49

adding a baseline and a version that loads packages before changes made to
petitparser related to parsing context and island grammar.

Hi,
It seems that Alex's demo at VISSOFT has done very well :). Take a look at
the tweets (feel free to retweet). Good job, Alex!
Live analysis is hot, and right now, we are on top of it. Let's keep it up.

"Every thing has its own flow"
Hi all,
we did some work on Dude.
One thing that was bothering us was that it cleaned the source code
(remove comments, '{', ...), but left empty lines behind that interfered
with the detection.
To correct that:
- DudeSourceCodeLine now keeps the lineno of its line in the original
source code
- empty lines do not generate any DudeSourceCodeLine
- DudeSourceCodeFragment keeps beginLine and endline in terms of real
line numbers in the source code
- DudeSourceCodeFragment also has to keep the length of the clone
fragment as the number of non empty lines (previously it would be
computed from beginLine and endline)
- and we had to refactor the code in various places to deal with these
changes
Overall, a rather big commit, but the tests (new and old) are green

There is no generic way to dump all the information of a model. MOOSE
is a platform to analyse and visualize your model depending of what
you want to do.
Normally people who want to analyze some properties of their system,
write a specific script in Pharo in order to visit their model in an
appropriate way.
For example, if you want to generate a collection with the number of
methods (WMC metrics) for each classes of your model, you can do:
self allClasses collect: [:eachClass | eachClass numberOfMethods].
If you want to generate a result html file, you can do the following:
FileLocator desktop / 'result.html' writeStreamDo: [:out|
out << '<html><head><title>Results</title></head><body><table border=1>'.
out << '<tr bgcolor=silver>'; << '<th>Class</th><th>number of
methods</th></tr>'.
self allClasses collect: [ :eachClass| out << '<tr>'; << '<th>'; <<
eachClass asString; << '</th>'; << '<th>' ;
<< eachClass numberOfMethods; << '</th>' ; << '</tr>'
].
out << '</table></body></html>'.
]
For exemple, with a model with all the Collection classes, I will
obtain the attached html table.
After that you need to adapt the html dump to your needs.

Hi!
I will try to answer you more in detail ASAP. But you are missing the notion of prototype and attributes. A prototype may contains attributes and functions. If things are missing in Famix, the. We can easily extend it. It is made to be expandable.
I reply to the moose mailing list since many expert in modeling will we this email.

It would be great to be able to have the GTInspector ability to keep the view when selecting variables. For example:
If I click on t2, I would love to see the items tab, and not the state. I guess the fact that t2 has the same class than t1 should be a hint good enough no?
By the way, shouldn’t the items view be the default view when I inspect a collection?
Again guys, I want to say, again, that you are doing a fantastic job. The Glamourous team rules!!!!

Hi everyone,
My name is Cuong, from Post and Telecommunication of Information Technology
in Vietnam. I am new to Moose, so can I ask you a question about how to use
Moose to compute CK+OO metrics? I already exported .mse file for my project
from Infusion tool, but it could not import to Moose (version 4.9) to
calculate CK+OO metrics. Can you tell me how to do it?
Another question I want to ask you is that there is a function in Infosion
tool that allows us to extract CK+OO metrics to html file, which is very
convenient. The problem here is that I need to have license of Infusion to
extract metrics for big projects (more than 100000 lines of code). It is
quite expensive and I could not afford it. So do you have any suggestion
about this problem? I really need this for my final thesis at my university.
Thank you so much.
Cheers,
Cuong.
Hi,
I removed DSM from the ConfigurationOfMoose. The problem is that it is
based on Roassal1 and porting it would take quite long. Also, the model
should also be reconsidered.
It should still be loadable separately.
Cheers,
Doru
