==== [ITEQS 2025] The 9th International Workshop on Testing Extra-Functional Properties and Quality Characteristics of Software Systems
The rapid development towards increased integration of software with the social and physical world that we see today means that quality aspects such as performance, safety, security, and robustness become more important in an increasing number of the systems and devices, which we use and depend on. In this context, the success of a software product may not only depend on the logical correctness of its functions, but also on the system quality characteristics. Such system characteristics, which are referred to and captured as Extra-Functional Properties (EFPs) or Non-Functional Properties, are particularly important in resource constrained systems such as in the domains of real-time embedded and cyber-physical systems. Therefore, such systems need to be tested with a special attention to the EFPs. Testing EFPs is challenging and often requires different approaches compared to testing normal functionality. ITEQS provides a focused forum with the goal of bringing together researchers and practitioners to share ideas, identify challenges, propose solutions and techniques, and in general expand the state of the art in testing EFPs and quality characteristics of software systems and services.

The Workshop focuses on combinatorial methods in testing, which can target software, systems-of-systems or other domains. The workshop welcomes academic research submissions as well as industrial experience reports. We would like to highlight that this year, IWCT 2025 seeks to broaden its application domains of combinatorial methods used in general testing problems and therefore not only invites contributions from the software testing domain concerning - but not limited to - AI/ML-based, autonomous, concurrent or real-time systems, security of hard- and software, cloud computing and cloud architectures and software product lines, but also welcomes contributions on using combinatorial testing in other domains such as - including, but not limited to - biotechnology applications, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quantum computing, finance and disaster management research.

==== [InSTA 2025] 12th International Workshop on Software Test Architecture
Software test architecture includes analyses of systems under test, approaches to design test cases, and notation of software testing. Designing better software test architectures is important for software testing. The software test architecture is a key to the test strategy. In software testing, there are various keywords for test design concepts. However, there are no widely standardized diagrams or notations to communicate the test design concepts, to increase the productivity and reusability of tests by raising their levels of abstraction, to generally grasp the overall perspective of the software for testing it. By focusing on the higher concepts of test architectures, our discussions can raise the quality of the testing.
Test architectures must be approached indirectly as a part of the test strategies. Some organizations are working to establish new ways to design novel test architectures, but there is no unified understanding of the key concepts of test architectures. In InSTA workshop, researchers and practitioners will discuss the research works, industrial experiences and emerging ideas about software test architectures. The topics are concepts of test architectures like abstraction of test cases, design of test architecture as application or enhancement of existing notation UML and UTP, test requirement analysis as patterns for test requirement analysis, application of test architecture as quality evaluation of test architecture and other software testing related topics.
Submission types:
* Research Papers (10 pp)
* Industrial Experience Reports (6 pp)
* Emerging Idea Proposals (6 pp)

==== [Mutation 2025] The 20th International Workshop on Mutation Analysis
Mutation analysis involves mutation of software artifacts that are then used to evaluate the quality of software verification tools and techniques. It is considered the premier technique for evaluating the fault revealing effectiveness of test suites, test generation techniques and other testing approaches. Ideas derived from mutation analysis have also been used to test artifacts at different levels of abstraction, including requirements, formal specifications, models, architectural design notations and even informal descriptions. Recently, mutation has played an important role in software engineering for AI, such as in verifying learned models and behaviors. Furthermore, researchers and practitioners have investigated diverse forms of mutation, such as training data or test data mutation, in combination with metamorphic testing to evaluate model performance in machine learning and detecting adversarial examples. Mutation 2024 aims to be the premier forum for practitioners and researchers to discuss recent advances in the area of mutation analysis and propose new research directions.

==== [NEXTA 2025] 8th IEEE Workshop on Next Level of Test Automation
Test automation has been an acknowledged software engineering best practice for years. However, the topic involves more than the repeated execution of test cases that often comes first to mind. Simply running test cases using a unit testing framework is no longer enough for test automation to keep up with the ever-shorter release cycles driven by continuous deployment and technological innovations such as microservices and DevOps pipelines. Now test automation needs to rise to the next level by going beyond mere test execution. The NEXTA workshop will explore how to advance test automation to further contribute to software quality in the context of tomorrow’s rapid release cycles. Takeaways for industry practitioners and academic researchers will encompass test case generation, automated test result analysis, test suite assessment and maintenance, and infrastructure for the future of test automation.
