What VM is the one click image running. I recently tried to install the
image from the one click package but it failed because the image had been
saved using the COG VM.

What image for Pier should I be using that has been saved with the regular
VM. I would like to get an image running on seaside hosting which does not
support the Cog vm.

You can use the image from the one-click VM, if you don't safe it with
the shipped VM.
