In the Pier application, when I change the ServerPath to / access to the
welcome page is ok, but then browsing in the other page broke:
http://localhost:8080/dates
/dates/ not found
Maye be it is not possible to change it

Server Protocol, Server Hostname, Server Port, Server Base Path only
changes the generated path, not the path that the application is
served from. When you change Server Base Path you also need to setup
an appropriate proxy (Apache, Lighty, ...).

Adding in the seaside book your paragraph above will disambiguate.
In the other hand I read in the Seasidehosting FAQ this:
Error: "/seaside/" not found.

To make your application accessible from the root, select it as default
entry point on the Seaside configuration page and set the base-path of
the application to "/". Note that this only works with recent versions
of Seaside.
I seems to suggest you can serve your application from the root or so?
