thanks for the fast answer. I tried it out, but without luck.
As you know I am trying to "magrittify" some existing app with already
existing css styles.
Right now there are tables(!) to layout the label / inputfield combos,
having different css classes for the labels and the input fields.
The solution you provide would mean that one should use the same css class
for both the labels and the fields, do I understand correctly?
And: tables shouldn't be neccessary, no?

No, that is usually not necessary. Try:
aDescription attributes class: 'newclass'
