Yes, I see. This is certainly feasible. Take your ideas from Apple
Mail, iTunes and Finder smart groups.
Also check out the attached screenshot, it shows a user interface to
specify condition in a similar way. This commercial application
(therefor I cannot give you the source code) based on Magritte has
been written a couple of years ago.
