Hi Chris,
I don't know the language support of VW. But does it make sense to use
such a VW specific feature, if you plan to port it to different
dialects?
I'm interested in translating the SmallWiki
into the german language
and maintain this german package. Do you have build in support for
different languages? I thought about using diff to 'patch' the
source files. Maybe we can translate SmallWiki in other languages
too?!?
Any ideas/hints?
Great! There is no support for different languages in SmallWiki
yet,
however I think it should be quite easy to use the support available
with VisualWorks (see #>> and #<<). (there is
already a realease)

We did not announce a final release
yet, but I think the current
implementation is stable and usable. It is available as Bundle from
SCG or Cincom StORE. There are also some projects available for
Squeak using parts of SmallWiki (Gardner, ...). Currently I have quite a lot of other things
around, but I am still
