Dear Students,
We're lucky to have a guest speaker for the next week seminar.
Yoann Coudert from ENS Lyon will present the project in which he is involved with our team.
The project is related to "Integer Quantization - without motorcycle graphs".
As always, you are all expected to attend to the seminar, and to take part in the following discussion.
FYI:
* The progressive agenda is available here
https://slides.cgg.unibe.ch/scg-f21/
* The Zoom meetings stay unchanged

Don't hesitate to contact me for any concerns related to the seminar course.

Dear Students,
Since no student sent me his/her 3 favorite articles, it means that each of you is a bachelor student doing a thesis with CGG.
If it is not the case, contact me ASAP.
Otherwise, you have so far three requirements:
1. Attending to all seminars
2. Participating actively in discussions
3. Presenting your thesis results in a seminar
For that latter requirement, schedule with me and your advisor a date for your seminar.
I remind you that it is possible to schedule a rehearsal before your seminar.
Don't forget our today seminar about Lukas Seeholzer's bachelor thesis "Feature Detection on Triangle Meshes".

See you all at 2:15pm,
Pierre-Alexandre Beaufort
Hello everyone,
We cordially invite you to attend Lukas Seeholzer's Bachelor's thesis
presentation this Thursday.
*Topic:* /Feature Detection on Triangle Meshes/
*Time:* March 4th, 14:15
*Place:* https://unibe-ch.zoom.us/j/91998900222
*Abstract*: /Features are essential in defining the shape of a
3-dimensional model. This thesis introduces a method to automatically
detect these features in a reasonable time and offers easy to use manual
tools to improve the results./
After the presentation, there will be opportunity for questions and
discussions.
Please note that attending all seminar and thesis presentations is
*mandatory* for students who do their Bachelor's thesis with us. We do
however we assume and hope that the presentations will be both
interesting to you (as you've shown interest in Computer Graphics /
Geometry Processing by doing your thesis with us) as well as beneficial
for your own future thesis work and presentations.
Side note: If you do your Bachelor's thesis with us haven't joined this
semester's seminar on Ilias, please sign up here:
