Swiss Crypto Day Spring 2025: Registration and Event Details

Dear Swiss Crypto Day community, As announced in St. Gallen, the Spring edition of the Swiss Crypto Day will take place in Ticino! More in details, the Spring Swiss Crypto Day 2025 will take place in Lugano, the 4th of April, 2025. The venue for the event is the Campus Est of Università della Svizzera italiana (www.usi.ch), in Lugano, Ticino. Lugano is easily reachable by train in approximately two hours from Zurich. The event will start at 10:30 AM and finish at 5:00 PM on the 4th April 2025. The detailed program will be announced soon, The deadline for registration is 27 of March 2025, but due to a limited availability of seats, we require all attendees to register in advance, so we encourage you to register on time. Spring Swiss Crypto Events

Dear Swiss Crypto Day community, We hope that you had a good start to the new year! 2024 will be an exciting year for cryptography in Switzerland, with Eurocrypt being held in Zürich this May (26.05-30.05). This year, the week-long conference will be happening in lieu of the Spring Swiss Crypto Day and we encourage you all to check it out. If you missed the chance to submit a paper to Eurocrypt and still want the chance to present your work to an international audience, the affiliated events [1] are a good place to look. There are several workshops taking place at ETH Zürich the weekend before the conference (25.05-26.05), on various topics ranging from applied cryptography (i.e., the Cryptographic Applications Workshop) to fully homomorphic encryption (i.e., FHE: Interesting Directions and Emerging Directions) to isogeny-based cryptography (i.e., Brainstorm Days - The Isogeny Club), and much more. These workshops provide a great and more informal platform to share and discuss ideas, and many of them are still open for submissions. Dear all, It's with regret that I have to announce the cancellation of the Swiss Crypto Day event scheduled for June 4th. ETH Zurich is cancelling external events in this period due to the ongoing medical situation, and our event has fallen victim to this institutional policy. (However, this policy also seems reasonable to me in the light of the current situation.) Christian Cachin and I discussed briefly the idea of moving the event online, but we both prefer a meeting where people can meet physically and interact in a face-to-face manner. Of course, our preference does not preclude someone else from organising an online event around the same time if they wished to. We will reschedule the event once the situation in Swizterland becomes clearer.
