Dear all,

If anybody has an FOSD topic you would like to discuss in a quite informal setting, please let me know. We should coordinate our Abstracts.

For a bit of inspiration of what an FOSD topic actually is, please see the non-exhaustive list below.

Best,
Timo

Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you, your students, as well as your collaborators to participate in the 18th Meeting on Feature-Oriented Software Development (FOSD'26) to be held at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Campus Odense, from March 24th to March 27th.

The FOSD Meeting is a yearly informal meeting that aims to bring together the community of researchers working on feature-oriented software development, including but not limited to product lines, software variability, configuration management, and software architecture.
The main objective is that researchers at different career stages (including undergraduate and early-career graduate students) come together to present their research, to get feedback from peers, to discuss new directions, and to initiate collaborations.

The FOSD Meeting is very discussion-oriented. There will be no formal proceedings. The program will mainly consist of invited talks by the participants, plenary discussions as well as discussions in smaller groups.
We will also have up to three keynote speakers to deliver motivational speeches about current research topics.

FOSD 2026 takes place at the University of Southern Denmark (https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sdu.dk%2Fen&data=05%7C02%7Ctimo.kehrer%40unibe.ch%7Ce14822b983b940df563708de0bfd685f%7Cd400387a212f43eaac7f77aa12d7977e%7C1%7C0%7C638961380187207839%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=m9Ese6AFayQVu922wdqlQWp6AyojIEAQrBFBjV2y5Rc%3D&reserved=0) at the Odense Campus.
For food and beverages (lunches, breaks, dinners) and social events, each participant will be required to contribute to the planned expenses when finally registering. The exact costs will be communicated in due time.

We would appreciate it if you could let as know as soon as possible whether you and/or your students are interested in participating.
We do not require any paper submission. We do, however, expect an abstract for each planned talk.

The *deadline* to submit an abstract is:

       5th December 2025

Abstract submission is done via e-mail to: fosd26@lists.se.cs.uni-saarland.de

Due to space restrictions, we may have to select participants, but we are committed to maximizing participation.
We will send notifications shortly after the abstract deadline before Christmas.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions: fosd26@lists.se.cs.uni-saarland.de

More information will be available at https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffosd.github.io%2FFOSD2026%2F&data=05%7C02%7Ctimo.kehrer%40unibe.ch%7Ce14822b983b940df563708de0bfd685f%7Cd400387a212f43eaac7f77aa12d7977e%7C1%7C0%7C638961380187228021%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=qp8Ufmf3ijSAhQr%2F8Oo8G8%2FnlKIBs5E%2Bx3Onq5jeZ8M%3D&reserved=0.

Looking forward to seeing you in Odense!
