Dear RSE community

Good news. We are happy to announce the first in person RSE meeting on *5 June 2025* at *15:30 - 17:00* at the University of Bern in *H4 115 *(main building at Hochschulstrasse 4). There will be two presentations:

1. *BORIS Portal - Present your Research* by /Sumanghalyah Suntharam/. BORIS Portal https://boris-portal.unibe.ch/ links publications, research data, projects and researchers at the University of Bern together in an integrated system. As a research information system and institutional repository, it increases the visibility and transparency of scientific work. 2. *REDCap - Advantages and Limits* by /Muriel Helmers/ and /Flurina Jenal/. Are you planning to collect structured data at multiple locations? To conduct an online survey for your research project? Do you need a secure database or data entry in multiple languages? REDCap https://project-redcap.org/ might be the right tool to check before writing your own programming code. We will give you an introduction and live session to REDCap, inform what services you can get for free at Uni Bern and what documentation is available to you.

After the event there will be an *apero*, where the participants can enjoy having a conversation in an informal atmosphere with a snack and a drink.
