First of all, great to hear that you are working on Pharo :).

Could you detail your goal a little bit more?

You seem to need to add nodes to the existing graph. Is this so? Or do  
you just need a way to add some annotations that are then rendered  
somehow?

I am asking because adding nodes dynamically is not quite supported,  
in particular because it changes the semantics of the layout.
